Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Forensiq Scout (“we,” “us”) collects through forensiqscout.io and the Forensiq Scout service, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum we need to run the product, and we do not sell personal information.

• Account information — name and email address, collected when you sign up (managed by our authentication provider, Clerk).
• Billing information — handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we keep only your subscription status, plan, and Stripe customer reference.
• Content you submit — the company names, industries, and URLs you ask the Service to analyze, and the reports generated from them.
• Form submissions — email addresses from the sample report form, and the details you provide on the beta access request form (name, company, team size, work email, and any message).
• Usage and technical data — standard logs such as report counts against plan limits, and the request data our hosting provider processes to serve the site.

• To operate the Service and generate the reports you request.
• To manage subscriptions, billing, and plan limits.
• To send service email — report digests, quarterly syntheses, and account or billing notices.
• To send the sample report and occasional market-signal notes if you request the sample; you can unsubscribe at any time.
• To respond to support and beta access requests.
• To secure and improve the Service.

We use a small set of service providers, each receiving only what it needs to do its job:

• Clerk — authentication and account management
• Stripe — payments and subscriptions
• Vercel — hosting
• Neon — database
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Beehiiv — the market-signal email list, if you opt in
• Anthropic — AI processing of the public web content analyzed for your reports
• Google Analytics — site usage analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies

Reports are built from publicly available web content. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Two kinds, and you control the second:

• Essential cookies — set by our authentication provider to keep you signed in. These are required for the Service to work and do not need consent.
• Analytics cookies — Google Analytics, which helps us understand how the site is used. These load only if you accept the cookie banner. Decline and they are never set. You can change your choice any time via the “Cookies” link in the footer.

We do not use advertising cookies.

Account data and generated reports are kept while your account is active so your report history remains available to you — including if your subscription lapses. You can delete individual reports and client workspaces from your dashboard at any time; deletion is immediate and permanent. If you close your account, we delete or de-identify your data within a reasonable period, except records we must keep for legal or accounting purposes.

• Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message.
• Delete reports and workspaces from your dashboard.
• Request a copy or deletion of your personal information by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, and we will honor applicable requests.

Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted, and payment details never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for the failure modes we can control.

The Service is for business use and not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If this policy changes materially, we will post the update here with a new “last updated” date.
